Why I'm Asking to Interview You (and Why It Matters More Than You May Think)

 Author: Margaret Osborn

I’m on a mission to create a truly transformative community with resources that support mid-career and mid-life women.

And I need your help.

I believe, as women, we’ve hit a breaking point and it’s time to stop pretending otherwise.

So I created a grassroots community called Be Unabashed because I was tired — tired of watching smart, accomplished women (myself included) shrink themselves just to get through the day.

I’ve been there: staying quiet in meetings when I had a point to make. Obsessing over how an email might “come across.” Questioning if I was “too much” or somehow not enough.

One time, a boss actually told me I needed to work on “not being so intimidating to people.” And I remember thinking, Cool, but what the hell are you talking about?

What did I do? I didn’t understand, so I shrank. I stopped offering different viewpoints. I let my confidence fade into silence.

And I know I’m not the only one.

Why These Interviews Matter

I want to build a community that’s not just inspiring, but useful. Practical. Grounded. Something that meets women exactly where they are and helps them rise.

But to do that, I need to understand what’s actually happening in your world. Not what the internet says. Not what influencers claim.

What’s working in your life? What’s not? What are you tired of tolerating? What are you dreaming about, even if you haven’t said it out loud?

This research is about building something with you.

What You’ll Get Out of It

You’re not just helping me; you’re helping yourself and all women like us.

Most women I talk to end up saying something like, “Wow… I didn’t realize how much I needed to say that out loud.” Or, “I forgot how passionate I feel about this.”

That clarity? That release? It’s powerful.

You might walk away with:

  • A sharper sense of what you want next
  • A reminder that you’re not crazy or alone
  • And maybe, just maybe, a little fire in your belly

So... Want to Talk?

If I reach out and ask to interview you, know this: I’m not looking for content. I’m looking for connection.

Your voice, your experience and your insight matter. Not just to me, but to every woman trying to figure out her next chapter.

I’m offering a limited number of free discovery calls — not to pitch you, not to sell you — but to listen.

Seriously. No sales. No hidden agenda. Just an open conversation about your experiences, your career journey and the support you might be craving as you navigate what’s next.

Let’s talk.
